Communication is the exchange of thoughts, messages, or information, as by speech, signals, writing, or behavior. Your oral presentation demonstrates new knowledge and practice skills needed to present in class, at conferences, in public discussions, or in company meetings. Therefore, practicing to deliver effective presentations is a necessary skill to master both for college and further endeavors.
Delivering an oral presentation typically involve three important steps: 1) planning, 2) practicing, and 3) presenting. Most importantly, oral presentations require planning. Scholars estimate that approximately 50% of all mistakes in an oral presentation actually occur in the lack of a planning. Focus your presentation on the audience. Your presentation is not about how much you can say, but about how much your audience can understand.

Oral Presentation Outline
You may use an outline to prompt recall of the points you intend to share. Practice speaking from the notes prepared; it is one way to be sure your notes make sense to you. However, too many details in the form of notes might encourage you to read to the audience. When this happens, your listeners might lose any sense of conversation with you.
Nervousness
Everyone will feel nervous. A certain level of nervousness in preparation for speaking is a good thing. It heightens your senses and gets your blood pumping. Once you get going, your preparation will kick in, and before you know it, your presentation will be over.
