  • Your instructor will provide you with a variety of igneous rock samples. Use the Download Igneous Rock Index to order your samples to their corresponding sample numbers.
  • For each rock, record whether it contains crystals, holes, glass, or clasts, its texture, cooling history, overall color, and composition.
  • Then determine the rock's name using the information provided in Table 7.4.
