I am excited to be your instructor this semester and to get to know each one of you! I think that it is important for you to get to know me as well.

I graduated from CSU Long Beach with my B.S. in General Biology and M.S. in Biology (emphasis in Physiological Ecology) from CSU Fullerton.

Biology is a vast field! Out of the many exciting fields, my specific interests are in the fields of Ecology, Herpetology, and Physiology. I have over 11 years of research experience. My experience spans from studying western fence lizards DNA, to odd invertebrates living at the bottom of the ocean at hydrothermal vents, and finally, how environmental factors correlate with pulmonary edema.

Apart from education and research, I worked at a local aquarium for seven years, raising two-spotted octopus, squid, sea jellies, giant sea bass, and garibaldi. I have several pets of the fur, feather, and scale sort. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, and tooling leather.

Please Note: I typically answer emails from 10 am - 6 pm. Responses will be delayed after 6 pm, during weekends, and holidays.
