Week 5:6:Public Education: Past and Present

In preparation for essay 2, which is about the theory that there is unequal access to public education in United States, you have read the lectures on public education and close reading. You also read and analysed three texts: Horace Mann, Mike Rose's "I Just Wanna Be Average" , and Jean Anyon's "Social Class and Hidden Curriculum of Work".

You have also completed discussion posts based on these texts. Now you are going to answer three multiple choice questions and two essay questions to complete our module for this week and be prepared for next week's outline and rough draft.
