Week 1: Overview

Overview

Do you remember Spanish 2? Pues, claro.

This week is all about introductions and presentations. We learn what the course is all about, who is in class with us, and what it is that we wish to learn or practice above all else. My priority for you all? Simply this: if you wish to prioritize your Spanish speaking, then I will provide plenty of opportunity for that. If, on the other hand, you feel confident in your speaking ability but not so much with writing and grammar, then I will provide you the opportunity to practice your writing and grammar skills. If you need practice comprehending Spanish in its many spoken versions, you will find that here, too. Do you need help reading in Spanish? Well, we will work on that, as well!

In other words, there will be something for everyone, and often, you will be given the choice: record a video (oral skills) or write a paragraph, or listen to a presentation and summarize it. We build on what you learned in Spanish 2, and we continue the journey to proficiency in Spanish 3.
