Gas Tungsten Arc Welding I 361: Section: 3 Units/ Lecture/ Lab

Welcome Students! I invite you, and welcome you with open arms to strap in for a fun and fantastic journey of a new learning experience that you are about to embark upon, while taking this online course with me.

The focus of this course will be on Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) – the knowledge and skills required beginning a career in welding, and grasping a greater understanding of the importance of preparing for your career. First, I would like you to understand the structure of the course:

This class is a sixteen (16) week course, which runs from Aug 30, 2021-Dec 19, 2021.
There will be required on-campus laboratory and online classroom ; this is a hybrid course.
This is a 3-unit lecture course; each student is expected to commit to 6 hours of homework per week. A hybrid class can be both challenging and exciting. Please note that this course will follow the semester schedule (16-weeks), have weekly assignments, require regular participation in discussion boards, bi- weekly quizzes, mid-term and final and I ask that you all be open-minded and willing to learn in this new learning environment.

I am available Monday – Thursday from 4:20 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. in the Zoom room. Matters that needs to be discussed private will be handled as such.
