Hello and welcome to the Introduction to Teaching with Canvas. This course introduces Canvas tools in the context of practical strategies for design, development, and management of an online course. You will have an opportunity to review the basics of online course development and practice the use of Canvas tools through hands-on exercises. This course was developed by @ONE and given to LASC to use for training our faculty, thus eliminating the need for each person to pay $65 for the same course.

When you view the course from the Modules View, you will see check marks that indicate you have completed that activity by either viewing the content, submitting the assignment, contributing to a discussion, or completing a quiz with a score of 4 or higher.  This is just one view to the course.  As an alternative, you can click on the word HOME in the left navigation and go through the modules using the tabs and the Next links at the bottom right.  If you don't see the left navigation menu for the course, click on the three horizontal lines at the top next to the course name.  That icon is called the hamburger icon.   If you are viewing the course on a large monitor, the course navigation menu normally appears.  When viewing the course on a smaller screen, you'll need to click on the hamburger icon to display the vertical course navigation bar.
