Week Thirteen - Overview
5/03 TO 5/09
Welcome to Week Thirteen!
You are doing great so far. Through these difficult circumstances, you are keeping up quite well. Congratulations.
What you have learned in regards to new reading and writing skills will help you in other college classes. Don't be surprised if your instructor asks you to write a paper looking at causes or effects of events, or you may be assigned an essay comparing or contrasting two events or personalities. What you have mastered here will be used again, not only in college but many times in the workplace.
ASKING FOR ASSISTANCE - Zoom sessions
Don't forget to visit Azad during his study sessions on Thursdays and stop by my zoom office hours Mondays and Wednesdays. I am noticing that students get better grades when they understand the assignment. Those that ask for assistance usually do better on their homework assignments because they get clarity on what is expected of them by talking to Azad or me.
In Addition: At least once a week the Zoom office hours are recorded. These are especially helpful when I give a full review of that week's assignments and how to properly follow instructions when turning in assignments. You can find these Recordings posted in Announcements.
THIS WEEK'S ACTIVITIES
Beginning this week, Essay #2 Compare/Contrast is due Monday, May 03, midnight. Be sure teacher's instructions have been followed before you submit and give a final proofread for any surface errors in punctuation, spelling, grammar, sentence structure.
