Class Meets Monday/Wednesday/Friday over Zoom

from 5pm to 6:30pm

Attendance Policy

In order for students to receive attendance credit, evidence of class participation in learning activities and assignments through CANVAS is mandatory. This remote-learning engagement through Canvas will be documented weekly.  For documentation purposes, the engagement period for each week begins at 8:00 a.m. on Mondays and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sundays.

Drop Policy

Anyone enrolled in the course on the first day of class will be dropped if they do not participate in the designated online class activities and assignments by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21.

·       Beginning the second week of class, Monday, July 26, students who do not participate in any designated online class activities during any seven-day period (from Monday at 08:00 a.m. to Sunday at 11:59 p.m.) will be considered inactive and dropped from the class.

·       If, however, you are still interested in the course but have been dropped, it is possible to be re-enrolled after communicating with myself about the reason(s) for not participating.  If there is a waiting list for the class, dropped students who would like to re-enroll will be added to the waiting list and would need to wait their turn to be re-enrolled.

How will my grades be determined?

Students on the active class roster of this repeatable noncredit course at the end of the term will earn grades of P (Passing), SP (Satisfactory Progress), or NP (Not Passing).  These grades will be transcripted but will not affect your GPA. Because you will have until 11:59pm on August 20 to complete all requirements, no extra credit assignments will be offered.  Students' final class grades will be determined as outlined below.
