Study chapter 1, read the question below, and then click "reply" to post your reply.
Explain the role of government in an organized society. What do you think would happen if our government did not have authority or legitimacy? Give specific examples and reasons for your answer.
You must post an answer first before you are able to read your classmate's posts.
Once you've completed the discussion post assignment, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click next to continue viewing the contents of the module.
*Note: When asked to use examples from current events, my expectation is for you to cite current news articles and then to cite your source. This is required in college to avoid plagiarizing other authors' work. Be sure that you've cited your sources!!
**Reminder:
I have high expectations for all of you and expect quality work. Here are a few reminders about getting the most points on these discussions:
You must post an answer first before you are able to read your classmate's posts. Be sure to review the orientation module for the requirements for discussions. Your response should be well written and researched, and your response to your classmates should be just as substantial as your initial post. One or two sentence responses will not receive credit. Remember these are graded assignments, correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar are taken into consideration. Please do not use color, bold, special font, or headings. There's no need for a header (do not include your name, my name, class name, date, etc.) simply click "reply" and start typing. Your response should be in paragraph form. No need to retype the questions, I know what they are. And lastly.... don't forget to cite your sources.
