La rama seca, Ana María Matute – La canción de la sirena

UPLOAD A VIDEO. In Spanish, ask questions or make comments about the story for the week: "La rama seca" by Ana Maria Matute (see Pages in Module 7). Make sure to not retell the story or focus only on what happens; talk about the emotions in the story, how the story is narrated, the language that is used, and the themes that become apparent. Also--are there topics in this story that are difficult to address in a conservative, traditionalist society like Spain in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s? Aim for 2-3 minutes. You may read from the story in order to make your point or ask your questions.
