Please read the syllabus completely; it contains the grading policy, instructions for discussions, and the weekly reading assignments. There is a good amount of reading, along with weekly discussions and quizzes on Canvas, a bibliography, and an essay that requires research, so if you can possibly get ahead, it might be a good idea. Nevertheless, I have tried to pick interesting readings--some of which you may have read before--to keep it engaging and even enjoyable!

Again, welcome! I look forward to getting to know you. Let's get started!
