For Homework 1, you must submit your answer to the the following 10 problems (attached are 7 pdf files, the first 6 contain one problem each, the last one contains 4 problems):
Problem 1.pdf Download Problem 1.pdf
Problem 2.pdf Download Problem 2.pdf
Problem 3.pdf Download Problem 3.pdf
Problem 4.pdf Download Problem 4.pdf
Problem 5.pdf Download Problem 5.pdf
Problem 6.pdf Download Problem 6.pdf
Problems 7 to 10.pdf Download Problems 7 to 10.pdf
Each problems is worth 2 points, and for each problem you must show the steps in your answer. If steps of finding the Measures of Central Tendency are missing, 1 point will be deducted for that problem.
There are two ways you can submit your answers:
1. You can type in your answer to each problem using the editor. Please make sure to number each problem clearly.
2. You can type, or handwrite your answers to each of the problems above on paper. Clearly number each answer. Scan your answers and upload it as a pdf file. Please make sure the pdf file you submit is clear and I can read your answers. If I can't read your answer, there won't be any points for that problem(s).
As you note, the first 6 problems are the ones from the end of Chapter 2. I have included a pdf copy of the problems for this week since some students might still be waiting for their textbooks to arrive in mail. In the future homework assignments, I will only reference the problem in a particular chapter and it is expected that all students have access to the textbook and the problem.
You also notice that the last 4 problems (Problems 7 to 10) are not in the textbook. All future Homework problems that are not included in the textbook will be given to you as a pdf file, or other formats.
Please make sure that your answer to each problem is clearly indicated. Please allow enough space on your page to show all your work in order.
