Barbra Rosner

Hello Everyone,

My name is Barbra Rosner and I am your professor for CD 1.

I have taught in the LA Community College District for the past 5 years. I also co-teach a class in the Early Childhood Master's Program at CSUN on consulting in preschools.  Prior to that I was the Project Manager on a Workforce Development grant at Pierce College and CSUN.  That grant supported students interested in  Child Development,  High School through Master's degree, with educational counseling, mentors, and financial support.  In addition to teaching, I am the Project Manger for PEACH, which is a higher education early childhood collaborative.  We do advocacy across the state around policies that will support young children. I have been in the ECE field for over 10 years.

I have a son, who is 24 years old. It was because of him and wanted to know more about how children develop when he was growing up that led me to going back to school and into this field.  I returned to school,  at Pierce College,  and then transferred to CSUN to complete my BA and MA. 

I have a dog I am obsessed with, a half lab, half golden, named Leilani.  I love music, am really missing concerts right now.  Also, my family and I love Disneyland, as you can see in my photo, and we can't wait for it to open again.
