Start Learning about Canvas and Course Design
You should have two new tabs under courses when you log into Canvas…
1) Intro to Canvas - Facilitator Training site.
You are a Student/Learner in this site. This is where the Course objectives, Course requirements, Course Content,and Assignments are located.
Please take your first step by reviewing the Syllabus in the Canvas training site. Click "Syllabus" in the Left Menu Bar. After that, take a good look around and get started with the Modules. If you feel lost, please ask for assistance.
There are No Due Dates for the activities in each unit. Everything is open. Everyone learns at a different pace.
2) Your Practice Site (Tab Name: Your first initial. last name_Sandbox) For example: J.Smith_Sandbox
You are an Instructor/Author in this site. This is your personal site to practice, experiment and complete the required activities.
You has been assigned a Practice Site in which you can practice, experiment with the Tools, and complete all the Required Hands-on Tasks. Be fearless; you can't "break" anything!
The Trainers have access to your practice sites to help you as you work through the features of this training course. We are here for you! Set time aside for the training. Take breaks. Have some fun!
The practice site is your permanent site to practice in. They are meant to be a playground to take risks and try things out.
