Welcome to Introduction to Teaching with Canvas!

Our course is one face to face day and then one week long. Based on the duration of the course, all content will be organized into one of four learning units.  Content for each unit will be available 24/7.

When you set up your own online course, think about what items you would put in this beginning area. Most likely, they will be things like a syllabus or course guide, a schedule of assignments (with grade and due date information), general information about important dates for the college, and so forth. You might also put your course policies here. Even though you may put your assignment schedule and policies into your syllabus, you may also want to create separate documents for the schedule, either here or in each week (like the weekly summaries in this course).  A separate policy document that restates what is in the syllabus, is also a good idea. Think of other items you would like to post in this general information area of your course and keep a list of those items for later use as you build your own courses.

Please take a minute to update your profile information including a picture or avatar of yourself. You will be participating in numerous discussion forums throughout the course and having a picture along with the post helps build community.
