These days post Covid-19 pandemic it has become essential for everyone to take care of their health and mind as much as they can. This applies for the students in an essential manner because students most of the time neglect their health in order to learn more and more. They need to discipline their lifestyle in a manner that their learning process should not be interrupted and their body and mind can be maintained in a sound manner and this task can be completed only by one medium which is known as Yoga. Yoga is a spiritual, mental and physical practice that has helped humans to stay healthy and young for ages. People have got many benefits from yoga regarding physical and mental health. Yoga is far better than gym because gym focuses on muscular strength only whereas yoga focuses on mental and physical health both that too by making an equilibrium between both. Students commit many mistakes in their daily lifestyle by not following the daily life disciplinary codes which causes so much harm to their health. Yoga creates that lifestyle which brings every single step of a day of a person in a line and hierarchy and due to which a stable and progressive lifestyle runs in a student's life. So, lets understand the benefits of yoga for the students to live a disciplined life:

  • These days teachers are performing online teaching during which students have to sit straight on a chair in front of a camera and spend 5-6 hours. Many students don't sit properly and in the right posture especially when teachers have to teach online and students have to learn online too. Yoga practice brings the posture of the students and kids' in a line and makes them sit straight in a disciplined manner so that their spine could not be harmed.
  • Students and children who have to study in online teaching from home don't have to go anywhere and parents also in order to please their kids bring fast food at their demand which is making their bodies full of calories and cholesterol and kids are losing flexibility of the body. Kids when practicing pranayama and asanas of yoga their body becomes flexible and extra calories and cholesterol gets burned. Hence yoga provides proper flexibility to the body due to which a student or an adult can live his or her daily life very comfortably without complaining of any inability due to heavy weight.
  • Yoga helps activate those parts of the body which don't have proper strength to work. Due to daily practice of yoga blood flows to each and every part of the body where usually blood doesn't go due to wrong lifestyle and strengthens those weak muscles of body also which do not function properly due to lack of strength. For example, people who suffer paralysis are advised by their physiotherapist to go through some yoga asanas and pranayama to reactivate their paralysed body parts.
  • These days students and adults also are going through diabetes due to lack of proper flow of insulin in the body. Those tutors who teach online tirelessly have to go through it on a regular basis but few asanas in yoga are capable of lowering the blood sugar and control diabetes too. If on a regular basis these asanas are being done by the patients then it not only controls the blood sugar but also increases the flow of insulin properly and keeps one healthy and fit.
  • Yoga boosts up the immune system of the human body and keeps all the organs functioning at a good rate, especially heart and mind. When the heart works properly and the blood to a maximum extent and the whole body receives oxygen level in a proper way due to which survival and functioning of the whole body is ensured.
  • Immunity being boosted up diseases stay away from the human body due to regular yoga practice and one lives a longer and healthier life.
  • Many asanas and practices like "anulom-vilom" & "swaas-prashwaas" improves the functionality of lungs. It has been proven during many diseases that breathing related to any yoga practice keeps lungs related diseases away from the body and if anybody has such problems, they recover easily through these yoga practices.
  • Regular practice of yoga and meditation brings better and sound sleep which is very important for healthy student life.
